Senior AS400 Specialist

Our client is one of the largest local banks in Malaysia. They are currently in search of capable talent to take up the role of Senior AS400 Specialist to execute operation expertise and assist in application system enhancement.

Responsibility

• Perform operational task and expertise to produce necessary output in line with team objective, and provide feedback when necessary on key issues faced
• Support Head of Regional Back Office Systems and Leads for application system enhancement, and assist in day to day operations
• Enhance equity back office application system and ensure that the development is consistent with bank group IT policies and standards
• Develop and enhance on the back end systems and applications to better support the customers and employees
• Establish strong IT systems and applications and ensure system uptime and availability, by constantly monitoring the systems and perform health checks
• Engage in business and IT disaster recovery plan by bank and Bursa Exchange
• Work closely with team and other staff, and provide guidance and feedback on their work performance
• Implement new system application requested by business and operations
• Improve and provide support on system integration between back office application system and external party application systems

Job Requirement

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in computer science or relevant field
• Minimum 8 years of experience in software development with AS400 RPG
• Minimum 8 years of experience in financial services industry especially in supporting equity systems
• Exposure in IT project management, equity business and operations
• Skilled in system development, capable in performing tasks relevant to domain and delivering required output
• Good analytical and troubleshooting skill
• Demonstrate good interpersonal skill, a team player, good leadership skill, able to communicate well with team members
