Senior Actuarial Modeller | Kuala Lumpur | 1-Year Contract

Our client is a global financial services organisation undergoing a significant actuarial transformation programme, looking for an experienced Actuarial Modeller to join their centralised modelling team in Kuala Lumpur. The Role

A technically focused modelling role with broad regional impact:

• Building, testing, and maintaining standardised actuarial models using Prophet or comparable software
• Implementing the standardised actuarial model framework, including Prophet-to-Prophet and Prophet-to-alternative migrations
• Conducting unit and bulk testing and supporting stepwise impact analysis during implementation
• Producing high-quality code and model merging, ensuring all controls and checks are satisfied
• Documenting models and building validation tools to support local business unit audit preparation
• Maintaining version control, back-testing updates, and communicating model findings to the modelling lead

What We're Looking For

A technically strong actuarial professional with a collaborative mindset:

• 4-6 years of relevant actuarial modelling experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Studies, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
• Hands-on experience with Prophet is highly desirable
• Prior exposure to a modelling team or Centre of Excellence is an advantage
• Python proficiency is a strong plus
• Sound understanding of Life insurance products and cashflow modelling for valuation purposes
• A curious, growth-oriented mindset with a positive approach to new challenges
