They have a strong management team in place and are looking for ambitious candidates who are looking to take their careers to the next level. They are currently looking for a Regional Tax Lead:

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Responsible to lead a team of tax analysts to prepare and review tax calculations, estimates and reports accruals and purpose partnering with country, regional and corporate finance, tax, legal business and operations terms
  • Responsible to legally minimise tax liabilities through informed application of tax laws and regulations via tax planning knowledge, working closely with the local tax consultants within the region
  • Oversee tax compliance, reporting, and filing works within the shared services center
  • Responsible to look into establishing an appropriate system or processes for tax risk management within the respective markets in Asia Pacific
  • Act as the key liaison to support regional taxation matters, liaising with various stakeholders including tax authorities, finance directors and CFOs within each market
  • Responsible to provide tax audit support whenever requested and to manage external tax authorities and consultants locally and regionally
  • Review current and deferred tax provision
  • Provide internal tax advisory services and support on business operation matters to the Group
  • Lead and coordinate ad-hoc tax-driven business initiatives regionally in Asia Pacific

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Economics, Finance or any other relevant fields. Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, etc would be an added advantage
  • Min 4 years' tax experience in a Big 4 accounting firm and commercial experience within a MNC handling direct and indirect tax
  • Technically strong with solid knowledge and experience in corporate tax compliance
  • Knowledge of International taxation laws and regulations with regional tax exposure in Asia Pacific is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in continuous improvement and automation projects would be an added advantage
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. Ability to manage senior stakeholders within a matrix reporting type of environment will be crucial
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills and meticulous
  • Possess good business acumen and highly adaptive
