Regional Procurement Manager

Our client, a leading industrial manufacturer with operations across Southeast Asia, is looking for a commercially astute Regional Procurement Manager based in Klang Valley.

The Role
A hands-on yet strategic position, you'll be responsible for:
  • Developing and executing regional procurement strategies for raw materials
  • Negotiating pricing, terms, and long-term supply agreements leveraging regional buying power
  • Monitoring commodity markets and price trends to support cost management decisions
  • Managing strategic supplier relationships across Southeast Asia and globally
  • Driving cost reduction initiatives and alternative sourcing strategies
  • Collaborating with manufacturing, engineering, logistics, and finance teams across multiple markets
  • Ensuring compliance with procurement policies and ethical sourcing standards
What We're Looking For
Bringing the right balance of commercial acumen and regional expertise, you'll have:
  • A degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline
  • 8-12+ years of procurement experience, with a regional scope preferred
  • Sourcing experience in copper, aluminium, and polymer resins within an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of Southeast Asian markets
  • Prior regional procurement management experience is highly advantageous
  • Excellent negotiation and cross-cultural communication skills
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Excel
  • Fluency in English; additional Southeast Asian languages are a bonus
  • Willingness to travel across the region
