Role Overview

The Regional Bancassurance Director is a senior leadership role responsible for driving overall bancassurance performance for the Central Region through strong partner engagement, disciplined sales execution, and high-quality advisory outcomes.

This role provides strategic direction and leadership to a regional field force, working closely with financial institution partners to execute enterprise bancassurance strategies, enhance distribution effectiveness, and deliver sustainable revenue growth. The Regional Bancassurance Director plays a key role in strengthening market presence, deepening partner relationships, and building a high-performing, future-ready sales organisation.


Key Responsibilities

Regional Sales Leadership & Growth Strategy

  • Own and drive bancassurance performance across the region, covering Advisory and Credit business lines.
  • Develop and execute regional business plans aligned with enterprise growth strategies and sales targets.
  • Analyse sales trends, identify growth opportunities, close performance gaps, and improve overall productivity.
  • Embed strong sales governance, pipeline discipline, and structured performance management practices.
  • Coach and support Business Development Executives to improve conversion quality, partner engagement, and frontline effectiveness.

Strategic Partner Management

  • Act as the key regional representative in managing relationships with partner financial institutions.
  • Build and sustain trusted relationships with regional leadership, branch management, and key decision‑makers.
  • Lead capability‑building initiatives, including training programmes, advisory coaching, and product enablement across branches.
  • Drive joint business planning, campaign execution, and co-created sales initiatives to maximise mutual outcomes.

Customer & Partner Service Excellence

  • Ensure high service standards across the region for both customer and partner interactions.
  • Oversee effective escalation management, issue resolution, and end‑to‑end case handling.
  • Reinforce strong advisory and suitability principles to ensure customers receive appropriate and value‑driven financial solutions.

Leadership, Talent & Capability Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Deputy Regional Directors and Business Development Executives.
  • Implement structured performance reviews, coaching frameworks, and talent development programmes.
  • Build succession pipelines and future leadership capability within the region.
  • Optimise manpower deployment to maximise branch coverage, productivity, and partner support.

Governance, Risk & Operational Excellence

  • Ensure compliance with bancassurance governance frameworks, internal policies, and regulatory standards.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting on regional performance, market trends, competitor insights, and customer feedback.
  • Oversee operational controls, audit readiness, and adherence to sales conduct and advisory standards.
  • Lead or contribute to strategic projects, pilot initiatives, and transformation programmes aimed at improving efficiency and effectiveness.

Strategic & Ad Hoc Responsibilities

  • Represent the region in leadership meetings, cross-functional forums, and enterprise initiatives.
  • Execute strategic assignments and organisational priorities as directed by senior management.
  • Champion a culture of innovation, agility, accountability, and continuous improvement across the region.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 10-15 years of relevant experience in bancassurance, financial services distribution, sales leadership, or partner management.
  • Proven track record in leading regional teams and managing senior stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to convert strategy into measurable results.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills with strong executive presence.
  • Solid understanding of financial advisory practices and insurance solutions, including HNW customer propositions.
  • High standards of professionalism, integrity, and resilience in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and support business needs beyond regular office hours.
