Recruitment Specialist - APAC (12 months contract)

Job description

Our client is a global organisation that is looking for a TA specialist to lead recruitment for Asia Pacific. This role will report to the Global Director of TA with a matrix report into the HR Director. This position will be on a 12 months contract and be based in Kuala Lumpur.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build relationships to further the acquisition of talent from candidate, to hiring managers and external partners.
  • Utilize innovative sourcing strategies and techniques. Monitor open position statuses and progress, adapting to alternative sourcing techniques when necessary.
  • Build applicant sources by researching and contacting universities, employment agencies, recruiters, media / internet sites etc.; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; maintaining the rapport and connection. Partner with external recruiters where appropriate.
  • Take a lead role in the development of job descriptions and candidate ads to attract the competencies and skill sets needed for organizational success now and in the future.
  • Determine applicant qualifications by reviewing CVs, comparing qualifications to job requirements, interviewing applicants, analyzing responses and making recommendations
  • Drive the interview process through leadership/facilitation of interview team selection & preparation.
  • Coordinate communications and logistics between business function and Talent Acquisition to ensure a positive candidate and employee/hiring manager experience.
  • Collaborate closely with US HR team and HR Leadership in Europe to ensure strategic alignment as well as process efficiency and support as needed.
  • Understand and ensure compliance with all applicable local and in-country regulations through partnerships with appropriate partners and legal counsel.
  • Manage relationships with key external vendors including temporary, direct placement, outsourcing and contract agencies supporting APAC.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Skills & Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
  • 5 - 7 years of recruitment experiennce is needed; technical or engineering recruiting experience would be an added advantage
  • Workday experience is an added advantage
