Procurement Operations Manager

Job description

Our client is a renowned financial services player in its respective industry. With presence of over 50 years in the field, they are looking for a hands-on Procurement Operations Manager experienced in migration/transition phases.

Job Description:

As an Procurement Operations Manager, your responsibilities include:

  • Identify multiple potential proposals from various platforms and overall manage the proposals process from management review stage to final approval submission
  • Coordinate and communicate proposal documents delivery and costing requirements to the key support functions to meet proposal deadlines while raising, tracking and documenting issues
  • Overall project management and ensure all relevant documentation for bid proposals is complete and accurate
  • Perform analysis on procurement related data to facilitate decision making (as and when required) and support the development of procurement strategies
  • Prepare reports for the management such as summary schedules, proposal overviews, competitive overviews and cost / price summaries, evaluation reports, annual plans, etc.
  • Lead and track ownership of team performance in accordance to KPIs and SLAs
  • Support the development of Procurement policies and procedures to improve productivity and drive continuous process improvement. Conduct procurement related trainings and guidance on Procurement policies and procedures to Business Users
  • Manage business processes in accordance with internal control, policies and procedures of the company
  • Identify deficiencies or improvements required in the procurement processes and propose corrective actions or improvement plans
  • Support ad-hoc projects assignments and continuous improvement activities to streamline and improve operational procedures.

The Right Candidate MUST possess:

  • Minimum of 5 years of procurement/sourcing experience in a Shared Services environment, with 1-2 years people management experience of 8-10 team members
  • Proficiency in ERP/Procurement and Source-To-Pay systems
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills
  • Ability to lead, motivate and drive a team towards targets
  • High level of initiative and motivation
  • Good time management skills
  • Good level of English communication, additional language capabilites are an added advantage
