Process Engineer (Semiconductor)

Job description

Our client is a Semiconductor manufacturer with operations all over the globe. Due to increasing demands from their customers worldwide, they are looking to add a Process Engineer to join their FOL/Assembly Manufacturing team in order to assist overall productivity.


Responsibilities

  • Identify, diagnose and resolve assembly process related problems
  • Coordinate and execute process, equipment and material evaluation / optimization initiatives and implement changes at process step
  • Lead / participate in continuous yield improvement and cost reduction activities
  • Validate and fan out new process baseline qualified, including new process, tools and/or materials for new product introduction
  • Responsible to establish, improve and maintain manufacturing operational standard of operation (SOP) to reduce/ eliminate operation variation among the shift for better & stable manufacturing ability.
  • To manage Low Volume Manufacturing (LVM) for any new change introduce to manufacturing Line including preparation for initial start to manage the risk of quality & manufacturability for newly introduced item.
  • Responsible to improve, maintain Process Flow, Control Plan as well as FMEA which the input may come from the above clause risk management, improvement activities, claims, audit findings & internal process
  • Manage / audit material suppliers to achieve quality, cost and risk management objectives
  • Support internal and external audits

Requirements

  • Degree or master in either mechanical, electronics, manufacturing engineering, materials engineering or similar disciplines.
  • Minimal of 3 years of semiconductor process knowledge in manufacturing/production.
  • Knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and ISO/TS standards.
  • At least 3+ years (minimum) of working experience in semiconductor, preferable Assembly/FOL process.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills. Able to present ideas, concepts, data and plan with high confidence at team meetings and executive review meetings.
  • Able to perform independently with minimal supervision.
  • Equipped basic knowledge on overall semiconductor assembly process and understanding on TS16949 requirement.
  • Knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and ISO/TS standards.
  • A team player with strong analytical abilities, problem solving skill, statically data analysis and DOE will be an added advantage.
