PMO Lead - Delivery Excellence

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Programme Governance & PMO Specialist to oversee programme delivery, governance, and performance across multiple initiatives. This role will play a critical part in ensuring delivery excellence, strategic alignment, and robust governance within a complex, fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities



Programme Governance & Delivery Oversight

  • Oversee multiple programme deliveries and ensure alignment with Change Delivery Standards (CDS), governance policies, and assurance frameworks
  • Monitor delivery health, performance, and milestone adherence, identifying areas for intervention
  • Conduct quality reviews of key artefacts (business cases, project plans, RAID logs, governance papers, closure reports)
  • Support phase-gate reviews, audits, and governance checkpoints


PMO Operations & Reporting

  • Maintain dashboards, scorecards, and KPIs to track programme performance
  • Consolidate reporting for Steering Committees and senior leadership
  • Ensure data accuracy across tools such as Clarity, Azure DevOps, JIRA
  • Drive standardisation and continuous improvement of PMO processes and frameworks


Strategic Planning & Decision Support

  • Partner with Programme Managers and stakeholders on prioritisation, resource planning, and financial forecasting
  • Provide data-driven insights and strategic recommendations
  • Support annual investment planning and budget cycles


Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

  • Collaborate across Group, Regional, and Country teams
  • Support leadership forums and governance committees with high-quality reporting and insights
  • Facilitate alignment between programme, delivery, and business stakeholders


Capability Building & Delivery Excellence

  • Coach Programme/Project Managers on governance standards and best practices
  • Support training initiatives and knowledge-sharing across the Change Delivery CoE
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and delivery discipline

Process Improvement & Risk Management

  • Monitor and enhance delivery processes and controls
  • Review change approvals, go-live readiness, and control checkpoints
  • Escalate and track risks, issues, and dependencies effectively


Conduct, Ethics & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal codes of conduct
  • Promote transparency, integrity, and responsible delivery practices

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in programme/project management or PMO roles
  • Strong background in banking, financial services, or large global organisations
  • Proven ability to manage multiple programme deliveries simultaneously
  • Deep understanding of project governance frameworks and delivery quality metrics
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities (including senior leadership)
  • Experience in fast-paced, dynamic environments with shifting priorities
  • Proficiency with tools such as Clarity, Azure DevOps, JIRA, or equivalent
