Lead Software Engineer-Java

The Role Here's where you'll make your mark:
  • Oversee day-to-day application support, incident resolution, and performance optimisation
  • Drive system enhancements and product launches, owning delivery timelines end to end
  • Monitor vulnerabilities and implement effective mitigation strategies
  • Manage vendor test results, deployment packages, and release documentation
  • Lead system and integration testing across SIT, UAT, and production environments
  • Mentor junior engineers and embed a DevOps culture within the team
What We're Looking For You'll bring technical depth and a collaborative mindset:
  • Strong Java development skills across J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, and REST APIs
  • Solid SQL experience is essential; ETL knowledge is a plus
  • Proven microservices architecture experience
  • Background in General Insurance systems, such as policy administration or product configuration
  • Proficiency in UNIX/Linux; exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or messaging protocols is advantageous
  • Agile/SCRUM awareness and a degree in Computer Science or an IT-related field
  • A minimum of 9 years' relevant experience, with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to work outside standard hours when the business requires
