Lead Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to drive innovation and excellence in system design.

• Design and develop innovative mechanical systems and modules, while driving continuous improvements to existing solutions.
• Prepare conceptual designs and technical proposals to support customer requirements and project discussions.
• Perform detailed engineering evaluations and analyses to validate system performance, reliability, and design robustness.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and proposal delivery.
• Manage design documentation and databases, ensuring technical information remains accurate, organized, and readily accessible.
• Balance multiple priorities and project timelines to support the company's product development and commercialization goals.
• Mentor and support team members through technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and best-practice development.
• Coordinate, prioritize, and delegate design activities to maximize team productivity and effectiveness.
• Ensure all designs meet safety, maintainability, and cost-efficiency requirements throughout the development process.
• Communicate technical concepts and project updates effectively with stakeholders across various organizational levels.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, professional standards, and workplace ethics.
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and innovative engineering methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
• Utilize SolidWorks proficiently for both 2D drafting and 3D mechanical design activities.
• Apply knowledge of engineering and design standards to support high-quality design outcomes.
• Leverage advanced engineering and verification tools where applicable to enhance design accuracy and validation.

Requirements

• Possess a minimum of 5 years' experience in mechanical system design, preferably within an industrial or automation environment.
• Strong mechanical design background with hands-on SolidWorks experience.
• Takes ownership, learns quickly, and is naturally curious.
• Thinks strategically and considers long-term design improvements.
• Interested in developing design standards, libraries, and reusable solutions.
