Our client is a fast-growing manufacturing business in Melaka, seeking a driven IT Automation Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

The Role

Embedded within a collaborative IT function, you'll support end-to-end delivery of automation and system projects. Responsibilities include:

• Supporting IT and automation project delivery, from requirements gathering and technical documentation to user training
• Installing, configuring, and maintaining software and hardware systems across the factory
• Supporting machine integration and recipe management systems, including machine-to-IT troubleshooting
• Assisting with system enhancements and carrying out functional, integration, and regression testing
• Providing on-site user support and maintaining comprehensive system documentation
• Collaborating with internal teams and vendors to ensure smooth system operations

What We're Looking For

A practical, technically minded individual who is eager to grow. Key requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field
• All years of experience in IT support, system integration, or factory automation
• Solid grounding in Windows and/or Linux operating systems
• Hands-on experience with at least one programming language - C#, Java, or VB.NET preferred
• SQL proficiency and familiarity with Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL
• Comfortable with monthly outstation travel
• Mandarin communication skills are advantageous
