Our client, a well-established higher education organisation operating across multiple campuses nationwide, is looking for an IT Infrastructure Manager or Assistant Manager to take ownership of their infrastructure environment.

The Role

Lead and support a multi-campus IT infrastructure environment:

• Manage and support infrastructure spanning networks, servers, virtualisation, storage, cloud, backup, and disaster recovery
• Administer LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, firewalls, VPN, and campus connectivity across multiple locations
• Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and security, and take corrective action as needed
• Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and improvement initiatives
• Partner with the cybersecurity team on hardening, patching, and vulnerability remediation
• Manage vendors, SLAs, documentation, and support IT governance and audit requirements

What We're Looking For

A technically capable infrastructure professional ready to lead:

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline
• 5-8 years of hands-on IT infrastructure experience; supervisory or management experience required for Manager-level appointment
• Deep practical understanding of enterprise networking, server environments, virtualisation, cloud infrastructure, and security
• Exposure to VMware, Hyper-V, HCI, Microsoft Azure, or AWS is an advantage
• Multi-site or campus infrastructure experience is highly desirable; higher education background is a plus
• Relevant professional certifications are an advantage
• Willing to travel between campuses and respond to critical infrastructure incidents when required
