About our client:
Our client is a well‑established, multi‑site organization operating in a mission‑critical environment, currently seeking an Assistant IT Manager / IT Executive to support and manage day‑to‑day IT operations across infrastructure, applications, and end‑user services.
This role is ideal for a hands‑on IT professional who enjoys balancing operational support, project delivery, vendor management, and stakeholder engagement, with exposure to both local and regional systems.
Key Responsibilities
IT Operations & Infrastructure
- Manage and maintain day‑to‑day IT operations, including servers, networks, endpoints, and enterprise systems
- Ensure availability, accessibility, performance, and security of all IT services
- Monitor system health, backups, network connectivity, and infrastructure KPIs
- Enforce IT security policies, access control, and disaster recovery readiness
Applications & Systems Support
- Provide second‑level support for business applications and core systems
- Coordinate system access, user onboarding, device setup, and software installations
- Support application availability checks and database/system uptime monitoring
Project & Vendor Management
- Support and execute IT projects (software deployment, infrastructure upgrades, system enhancements)
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders on requirements, timelines, and deliverables
- Manage external vendors, service providers, and telecom partners, including SLA monitoring and renewals
Governance & Reporting
- Maintain IT documentation, SOPs, asset inventory, and compliance records
- Prepare regular IT operational reports (KPIs, incidents, service desk trends, audits)
- Support budgeting, cost control, and contract renegotiations
Leadership & Collaboration
- Assist in guiding junior IT staff or service desk resources
- Conduct basic user training and system orientation
- Work closely with regional or external IT counterparts on shared systems and standards
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, or related field
Experience
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure, or systems support
- Experience handling:
- IT infrastructure (servers, networks, storage)
- End‑user support and device management
- IT projects (applications, hardware, network upgrades)
- Vendor / service provider coordination
Technical Skills
- Windows Server & Active Directory administration
- Networking fundamentals and troubleshooting
- IT security fundamentals (access control, incident handling, DR)
- Backup, monitoring, and system availability management
Desirable (Not Mandatory)
- Exposure to application development or scripting (e.g. PHP, Java, or similar)
- IT project management experience
- Certifications in IT, networking, or project management
