Are you an experienced banking auditor with specialist credit audit expertise? Our client, a respected financial institution, is seeking a senior internal audit professional to lead critical credit and wholesale banking engagements from their Kuala Lumpur base.

The Role
Lead from the front on high-stakes credit audit work:
  • Spearhead risk-based audit assignments across credit risk, corporate and wholesale banking
  • Review and challenge lending practices, credit portfolios, asset classification and governance standards
  • Test the adequacy of controls throughout the credit lifecycle, from underwriting through to regulatory compliance
  • Deliver clear, commercially sound findings to senior management and key stakeholders
  • Introduce data-led and innovative audit methodologies to drive efficiency and insight
  • Guide and develop audit team members, building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
You'll need the following to be considered:
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 12 years' internal audit experience gained within a financial institution or reputable audit practice
  • Credit audit experience is essential; exposure to corporate and wholesale banking is a significant advantage
  • Working knowledge of credit lending, loan products and regulatory frameworks governing banking operations
  • Professional certification such as CIA, CBA or equivalent is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and report writing skills with experience engaging senior stakeholders
  • Experience working with data analytics or visualisation platforms is a plus
