The Role
Own the strategy, drive the outcomes. Your key responsibilities include:
  • Shaping and implementing recovery strategies across a secured NPL portfolio from end to end
  • Driving restructuring negotiations and designing bespoke workout plans for viable accounts
  • Overseeing legal enforcement actions - from foreclosure and civil suits through to auction
  • Managing collateral valuations and maximising recovery value from underlying assets
  • Building and guiding a high-performing team of recovery officers and legal specialists
  • Delivering accurate portfolio performance reports to senior management and key committees
  • Identifying NPL portfolio sale opportunities and managing the full transaction lifecycle
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate brings both technical depth and leadership presence:
  • Solid retail credit management background within banking, with hands-on mortgage experience
  • A thorough understanding of the full NPL lifecycle, from early delinquency through to resolution
  • Experience in distressed debt, legal enforcement, and collateral realisation
  • A track record of leading and developing high-performing recovery teams
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence at board and committee level
  • Familiarity with Malaysian regulatory frameworks and credit risk policies
