Head of Marketing (Renewable Energy, Solar)

Overview
We are hiring on behalf of a leading player in the solar and renewable energy sector, seeking a commercially driven and strategic Head of Marketing to lead its marketing function. This role will be responsible for shaping brand positioning, driving demand generation, and supporting revenue growth across solar PV, renewable energy solutions, and sustainability-driven projects.
The ideal candidate combines strong strategic thinking with hands-on execution, and has a deep understanding of B2B marketing within solar, renewables, and energy transition industries.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with business growth objectives in solar and renewable energy markets
  • Lead brand positioning and messaging to differentiate in a competitive solar, clean energy, and ESG-driven landscape
  • Manage and mentor the marketing team, setting clear KPIs and performance metrics
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership on go-to-market strategies for solar PV, renewable solutions, and energy transition initiatives

Demand Generation & Commercial Support

  • Drive lead generation initiatives to support sales pipelines across solar EPC, renewable energy projects, and energy solutions portfolios
  • Design and execute integrated campaigns (digital, events, partnerships, content) targeting B2B clients in solar and renewable sectors
  • Work closely with sales teams to align marketing efforts with revenue targets and key accounts in clean energy markets
  • Optimize marketing funnel performance, from awareness through to conversion

Brand & Communications

  • Oversee corporate branding, ensuring consistency across all channels with a strong emphasis on renewable energy positioning and sustainability messaging
  • Lead PR, media relations, and thought leadership initiatives within the solar and renewable energy space
  • Manage content strategy including case studies, technical materials, and industry insights related to solar PV and energy transition projects
  • Strengthen the company's presence in ESG, decarbonization, and sustainability narratives

Digital & Performance Marketing

  • Own digital marketing strategy including SEO, SEM, social media, and website optimization, with a focus on renewable energy audiences
  • Track and analyze campaign performance using data-driven insights to improve ROI
  • Leverage marketing automation and CRM tools to enhance lead nurturing and tracking

Market Intelligence & Positioning

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor positioning within the solar and renewable energy sector
  • Provide strategic insights to support new solar solutions, renewable offerings, and green energy initiatives
  • Monitor industry developments in solar PV, renewable policies, carbon reduction, and ESG trends

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA is an advantage)
  • 10+ years of marketing experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within solar, renewable energy, or clean energy sectors
  • Proven experience in B2B marketing specifically within solar PV, renewable energy, or energy transition-related industries
  • Strong track record in lead generation and commercial marketing for solar or renewable energy solutions
  • Experience working closely with sales teams in a revenue-driven energy or renewables environment
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing tools, analytics, and CRM platforms
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
  • Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced environment
