Head of Finance | Building & Construction | Kuala Lumpur | 2-Year Contract (Renewable)

The Role
A commercially focused role with broad responsibility across the finance function:
  • Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance
  • Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and planning to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
  • Manage CAPEX and overhead budgets, monitoring actual expenditure against agreed targets
  • Strengthen internal controls and ensure adherence to legal, tax, and regulatory requirements
  • Lead cash management and funding activities, maintaining strong relationships with external financial bodies and institutions
  • Support ad hoc financial analysis and strategic reporting for senior leadership


What We're Looking For
A senior finance professional ready to take full ownership:
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline, supported by a professional qualification (e.g. ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA, MICPA or equivalent)
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience at senior management level
  • Experience in Construction, Property Development or Engineering industry
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team
  • A background in construction, infrastructure, public transport or financial services is advantageous
  • Sound knowledge of financial controls, reporting standards, and compliance frameworks
