Our client is a fast-growing international retail organisation with an expanding global footprint, seeking a Global Trade & Product Compliance Manager to lead their end-to-end compliance function from Kuala Lumpur.

The Role

A senior, multi-dimensional compliance leadership position with global reach:

• Design and implement global trade, product compliance, and environmental strategies aligned with international growth
• Build governance frameworks, SOPs, and internal controls to standardise compliance practices across markets
• Govern product regulatory requirements including CE Marking, REACH, RoHS, GPSR, and equivalent global frameworks
• Oversee import/export compliance, customs broker performance, and duty optimisation initiatives
• Lead and develop the global trade and compliance team with clear objectives and development plans
• Monitor regulatory changes across markets and convert developments into actionable business guidance

What We're Looking For

A commercially sharp compliance leader with a global perspective:

• Degree in Logistics, International Trade, Regulatory Affairs, Engineering, Business, or a related field
• 8-10 years in global trade, customs, product compliance, or international logistics
• At least 3 years of people management experience
• Solid knowledge of product regulations, customs procedures, tariff classification, and international trade frameworks
• Excellent written and spoken English; Mandarin is an added advantage
• Strategic thinker with sound commercial judgment and strong stakeholder influencing skills
