Financial Controller

About Our Client:

We are currently recruiting for a well-known consumer products company in Malaysia who is looking to hire an experienced Financial Controller, who will be responsible for group finance and accounting matters and lead the finance team. The role will also cover full spectrum of FP&A scopes related to the business analytics and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be supporting and reporting directly to the Head of Finance, based in Petaling Jaya:

• Responsible for group consolidation, financial and management reporting and relevant statutory submissions.
• Making sure that accounting entries are accurately reflected in the system.
• Lead audit and tax matters and submissions.
• Actively involve in identifying risks, process improvements, SOPs and internal controls at the group level.
• Responsible for budgeting, forecasting and treasury matters.
• Close collaboration with HODs on cost efficiency for the business.
• Guide and train the finance team members where necessary.
• Perform in ad-hoc duties and projects as and when required.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Possess Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting or professionally qualified accountant ie. ACCA, CPA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 year of finance experience, ideally with mixture of experience in external audit, reporting and FP&A background.
• Possess strong critical thinking, people management and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and communication skills in both English and Mandarin, as there is liaison with stakeholders in other SEA countries.
