Finance Manager/AFM

About Our Client:

We are currently recruiting for our client, a diversified retail group based in Damansara, is looking for a Finance Manager or Assistant Finance Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The Senior Finance Manager needs a seasoned finance professional with a strong full-set accounting background and a sharp eye for detail, to lead the finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

You'll take ownership across a wide range of finance and accounting responsibilities. Day-to-day, you can expect to:

• Support the Senior Finance Manager across all areas of finance and accounting operations.
• Lead product costing preparation and drive improvements to the costing framework.
• Prepare and consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial accounts.
• Produce management accounts, financial analysis, and ad-hoc reports for key decision-makers.
• Liaise with external stakeholders including auditors, bankers, and tax agents.
• Ensure timely compliance with statutory government reporting obligations.
• Guide and develop junior members of the finance team.

Skills & Experience Required:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent professional qualification, external auditors are welcome to apply!
• Between 5 and 10 years of full-set accounting experience, ideally within a retail environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as SQL or an ERP system, paired with strong Microsoft Office skills.
• A solid grasp of GST/SST regulations and relevant tax legislation.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and a consistent level of accuracy.
• Confident communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across teams and with external parties.
• A self-motivated, adaptable approach with the ability to juggle priorities in a fast-paced setting.
