Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and group policies
- Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and statutory compliance matters
- Strengthen internal controls and ensure adherence to corporate governance standards
Costing & Manufacturing Finance
- Oversee product costing, standard costing, and variance analysis (material, labor, overhead)
- Partner with operations to monitor production costs, yield, and efficiency metrics
- Drive cost optimization initiatives and support margin improvement strategies
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes
- Provide detailed financial analysis and insights to support business planning
- Track performance against budget and highlight key risks and opportunities
Business Partnering
- Work closely with plant management and cross-functional teams (operations, supply chain, procurement)
- Support decision-making through financial modelling and scenario analysis
- Act as a key finance liaison for operational and commercial stakeholders
Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
- Monitor cash flow, inventory levels, and receivables/payables
- Drive improvements in working capital efficiency
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop a small finance team, ensuring high-quality deliverables
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration
Process & Systems Improvement
- Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and reporting efficiency
- Support ERP system enhancements and digital transformation initiatives
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- Professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CMA) strongly preferred.
- Minimum 8-12 years of relevant experience in manufacturing finance.
- At least 3-5 years in a managerial or plant finance leadership role.
- Strong hands-on experience in:
- Product costing and inventory accounting
- Manufacturing variance analysis
- Budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A
- Working capital management
