Finance Manager

About Our Client:

Our client, a well-established multinational healthcare group based in Kuala Lumpur, is seeking a Finance Manager - Accounts Payable to join their team. They are offering an opportunity to step up in managing a big finance team, with a combination of end-to-end ownership of the finance function and technical reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

You'll mainly lead the AP function across the Malaysian entities. Core responsibilities include:

• Working closely with GL team and lead the AP team across all accounting activities, reconciliations, and payment runs.
• Preparing monthly financial reports in line with US GAAP and corporate deadlines.
• Supporting facility-level budgeting and monthly rolling forecasts.
• Producing P&L variance analyses and delivering actionable insights to operational and management teams.
• Monitoring inventory cost movements and working with relevant teams on root cause resolution.
• Managing statutory audits, tax, and regulatory reporting across all Malaysian legal entities.
• Ensuring SOX compliance and maintaining a robust internal control environment.
• Collaborating with internal audit to address and remediate findings.
• Supporting the integration of potential business acquisitions.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Possess Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting or professionally qualified accountant ie. ACCA, CPA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of financial reporting experience, ideally with mixture of experience in reporting and external audit.
• SOX and US GAAP experience would be highly advantageous.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a team of 5-10 finance professionals.
