Finance Executive

About Our Client:

Our client is an established Malaysian organisation operating within the energy and electrical infrastructure sector, providing specialised solutions and services to support critical infrastructure and industrial projects.

Key Responsibiltiies:

• Handle day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliations.
• Assist with full-set accounting and month-end closing activities.
• Prepare and maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, journal entries and other accounting documentation.
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Process supplier invoices and support payment processing.
• Assist with monthly management reporting and financial analysis.
• Support cash flow monitoring and preparation of relevant schedules.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis when required.
• Ensure accounting records are maintained in accordance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
• Assist with SST, tax, audit and statutory reporting requirements.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, suppliers and other relevant stakeholders.
• Assist in improving accounting processes and internal controls.
• Support the Finance Manager with ad-hoc accounting and finance projects.

Key Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 2-5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within an SME, engineering, construction, energy, manufacturing, or project-based environment.
• Experience in full-set accounting will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and reconciliations.
• Familiarity with Malaysian accounting and statutory requirements.
• Experience with accounting/ERP systems and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
