This is a full-time, on-site opportunity based in Bangkok, ideal for a Director-level engineer ready to take full ownership of a platform. Relocation support is available for the right candidate.

The Role

Here's what you'll be doing day to day:

• Leading major technical initiatives with a focus on architectural soundness, scalability, and long-term impact
• Owning the AWS and Kubernetes platform end-to-end, including reliability, security, performance, and cost
• Running a predictable release process with progressive delivery, rollout and rollback strategies
• Staying hands-on - writing code, reviewing PRs, debugging production issues, and improving core services
• Designing and maintaining Terraform-managed infrastructure and operational best practices
• Owning CI/CD pipelines and driving improvements to build/deploy reliability and developer velocity
• Implementing observability practices, including monitoring, logging, alerting, and SLO-driven reliability
• Building and managing on-call rotations, incident response, and postmortems
• Mentoring and developing engineers while keeping priorities clear and execution on track

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will bring:

• 8+ years building and operating production web applications and systems
• 5+ years owning AWS and Kubernetes in production, including reliability, security, and cost control
• Proven Terraform ownership across multiple environments (networking, compute, access controls)
• Hands-on experience with observability tools such as Datadog and/or Prometheus/Grafana
• Strong CI/CD, release management, and on-call operations experience
• A startup mindset - high ownership, high energy, and a bias for action
• Fluent English communication skills for high-stakes technical discussions
• Based in Bangkok, or open to relocating (company-supported) and working in a multicultural team
