The Role
You will have full executive ownership of technical strategy across both rail and bus operations, from concept through to delivery.
  • Steering the end-to-end delivery of major public transport infrastructure initiatives, from planning through to operational readiness
  • Overseeing capital investment programmes across rail systems, rolling stock, signalling, power infrastructure, and depot facilities
  • Leading bus fleet renewal and upgrade programmes, including electrification and emerging mobility technologies
  • Developing robust project budgets and cashflow projections aligned to regulatory and financial requirements
  • Coordinating testing, asset handover, and early operational support to ensure seamless integration of new infrastructure
What We're Looking For
You will bring a strong blend of technical expertise and executive leadership.
  • A degree in Engineering or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 20 years' experience in public transport operations or MRO
  • Proven experience managing large-scale CAPEX programmes within a complex transport environment
  • A strategic mindset with a track record of delivering operational excellence
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to navigate complex regulatory frameworks
