Business Development Manager - Industrial Automation

About the role

Our client, a global manufacturer of industrial sensor solutions, is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager as part of their expansion plans into 2026. This is an individual contributor role where you will responsible to drive sales and growth in market presence across Malaysia.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through market research, networking, and strategic outreach.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Product) to support go-to-market initiatives.

  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and pitches to prospective clients.

  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform strategic decisions.

  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of business development experience within industrial automation or electrical engineering.

  • Track record of achieving sales targets.

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

  • Strong commercial acumen and market awareness.

  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
