Business Development Manager

Our client is a global leader in industrial woodworking machinery used for industries such as building materials, automotive, furniture and CNC manufacturing. With a strong footprint across the world, they are looking to expand into the Southeast Asia market.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across furniture manufacturing, interior finishing, panel processing, joinery, and industrial woodworking sectors.
  • Develop account strategies to drive long‑term growth and recurring revenue streams.
  • Conduct product presentations, production‑flow consultations, and ROI discussions with prospective customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, production managers, engineers, and decision makers.
  • Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate machinery, automation, or digital production solutions.
  • Ensure an exceptional customer experience through proactive communication and solution‑oriented support.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in wood processing and Industry 4.0 manufacturing.


Skills & Experience Required:

  • Minimum 5-8 years of sales, business development, or technical sales experience, ideally in:
  • Woodworking machinery
  • CNC machinery
  • Industrial automation
  • Capital equipment
  • Manufacturing solutions/production systems
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel within Malaysia as required.
  • Experience working with high‑value capital equipment and long sales cycles is a strong advantage.
