Actuarial Manager, Reserving

Delivering core actuarial outputs, including actuarial valuations, financial condition assessments, stress testing and other regulatory or group reporting requirements.
Independently identify material risks, trends and issues arising from actuarial analysis, and perform deeper investigation where required.
Translate complex technical results into clear, practical insights for non‑technical stakeholders, including senior management and internal business partners.
Lead larger actuarial initiatives or projects with minimal supervision, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
Act as a technical resource to the wider actuarial team and provide guidance and coaching to junior team members.
Work closely with cross‑functional teams to understand broader business requirements and ensure actuarial deliverables address underlying needs.

Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a related quantitative discipline.
Good progress towards actuarial qualification, or recently qualified, with a recognized actuarial body.
Approximately 8-10 years of relevant experience within the general insurance industry.
Strong understanding of actuarial valuation, capital, financial condition and regulatory reporting frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to work with context, exercise sound judgement, and solve problems proactively.
Proficiency in Excel and actuarial / analytical tools such as VBA, SAS, R, Python, SQL or similar technologies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to manage multiple workstreams effectively.
Proven capability to mentor and develop junior actuarial professionals.
