At Ambition, our purpose of Building Better Futures extends beyond the careers we help shape every day. It reflects a broader commitment to creating long-term, meaningful impact for the communities and environments we are part of.
Across our global network, we are constantly exploring ways to translate this purpose into action. One of the ways we have brought this to life is through a tree planting initiative tied to one of the most important milestones we celebrate. Helping someone secure a new role.
In Malaysia, the UK and Australia, every successful placement marks more than a career step forward. It also contributes to environmental restoration through partnerships with organisations dedicated to protecting and regenerating natural ecosystems:
APE Malaysia, restoring forests and protecting wildlife for future generations
TreeProject Australia, bringing native landscapes and habitats back to life
Ecologi UK, supporting global climate action and reforestation
Together, these partnerships enable us to create a ripple effect of positive impact, connecting career success with environmental stewardship.
Across these regions, the initiative has already led to the planting of more than 3,800 trees and counting. Each tree represents both a new professional chapter and a tangible contribution to restoring ecosystems and supporting biodiversity.
As we mark World Environment Day on 5 June, it is a moment to reflect on how small, intentional actions, carried out consistently, can create something far greater over time.
This initiative is driven through our partnership with APE Malaysia (Animal Projects & Environmental Education).
Since launching this collaboration in July 2023, Ambition Malaysia has planted more than 1,327 trees as part of the Corridor of Life Project along the Lower Kinabatangan River in Sabah.
This project plays a critical role in reconnecting fragmented forest landscapes, helping to restore natural corridors between mangroves and inland forests. These restored habitats support a diverse range of endangered wildlife, including orangutans, pygmy elephants and hornbills.
Beyond ecological impact, the initiative also supports local communities by generating employment opportunities and promoting sustainable practices in the region.
Spearheading this initiative in Malaysia, Matthew Cooper, Managing Director of Ambition Malaysia, shares:
“This initiative is something we are incredibly proud of, because it connects what we do every day with a much bigger purpose. Every placement represents a new opportunity for someone, and through our partnership with APE Malaysia, it also contributes to restoring our natural environment. It is a meaningful way for us to give back, while reinforcing our commitment to building better futures, both for people and for the communities around us.”
Each tree planted is a simple yet powerful symbol, reflecting growth, resilience and a shared responsibility to protect the natural world for future generations.

Every placement we make represents progress. For individuals, for businesses and, through this initiative, for the environment.
Because at Ambition, Building Better Futures is not only about what we achieve today, but about creating something that endures beyond it.
One tree. One opportunity. One future at a time.
